EI-13X15 3VA Blue transformer

The EI-13X15 3VA Blue transformer is a power-frequency isolation transformer that uses an EI-type silicon steel core (13mm tongue width, 15mm stack thickness). It features a rated capacity of 3VA, an input voltage compatible with 110V/220V AC, and a typical output voltage of 12V/24V.     Core role

    Voltage conversion: High voltage AC (such as 220V) is reduced to a safe voltage (12V/24V) through electromagnetic induction.

    Structural design

    - Iron core: EI-13X15 silicon steel sheets are stacked in steps, with low magnetic leakage and low vibration and noise;

    - Winding: Copper wire winding, primary thin wire (high voltage side), secondary thick wire (low voltage side);

    - Protection: Blue epoxy resin encapsulated housing, protection grade IP20, dustproof and touchproof.

    Performance parameters

    - Capacity: 3VA (no-load loss ≤ 0.8W);

    - Insulation grade: Class B (130℃ temperature resistance), temperature rise ≤60K;

    - Frequency: 50Hz/60Hz industrial frequency.

    Advantages

    It has a small size (fits into compact spaces), low cost, and a dry-type design that is maintenance-free. However, there is a slight electromagnetic hum during power frequency operation.

     

    How it works

    Electromagnetic induction: The input AC current generates an alternating magnetic field through the primary winding, which is coupled to the secondary winding through the EI iron core.

    Voltage conversion: The secondary winding induces a low-voltage electromotive force through the turns ratio (such as N₂/N₁=1:18) to achieve energy transfer.

    Isolation characteristics: Magnetic circuit coupling realizes electrical isolation between primary and secondary sides, and only supports AC input.
