Core role
◆Voltage conversion: Use electromagnetic induction to reduce the voltage of 220V AC to a safe voltage (such as 12V/24V) to power low-voltage devices.
◆Electrical isolation: There is no direct electrical connection between the primary and secondary windings, which blocks common-mode interference between circuits and improves equipment safety.
◆Impedance matching: Optimizes signal transmission efficiency and is suitable for scenarios requiring impedance adaptation, such as audio and sensors.
Core Features
Structural Design
- Iron Core: EI-type silicon steel sheets are stacked in steps to reduce magnetic leakage and vibration noise;
- Winding: Primary thin wire (high voltage side), secondary thick wire (low voltage side), copper wire winding to reduce losses;
- Protection: Epoxy resin potting or metal housing (blue is common), protection level IP20.
Performance parameters
- Capacity: 2VA (micro level), no-load loss ≤ 0.5W;
- Insulation grade: Class B (130°C temperature resistance), natural cooling temperature rise ≤ 60K;
- Frequency: Adapt to 50Hz/60Hz power frequency.
Operational Advantages
The dry-type design does not require insulating oil, is compact, and has low cost, but produces slight electromagnetic noise during power frequency operation.
How it works
Based on the Law of Electromagnetic Induction:
1.Input AC power (220V/50Hz) generates an alternating magnetic field through the primary winding;
2.The magnetic field forms a closed magnetic circuit through the EI-type iron core and is efficiently transmitted to the secondary winding;
3.The secondary winding induces a low-voltage electromotive force through the turns ratio (such as N₂/N₁=1/18), realizing voltage conversion and energy transfer.
