A composite insulator consists of three parts: an insulation core rod, a silicone rubber umbrella sleeve, and connecting fittings at both ends. Insulation core rod is the abbreviation for epoxy resin glass fiber pull rod. It is the skeleton of composite insulators, which plays multiple roles such as supporting umbrella sleeves, internal insulation, connecting two end fittings, and bearing mechanical loads. It has high tensile strength, generally up to 600Mpa or more, which is twice that of ordinary steel and 5-8 times that of ceramic materials.

    Product Overview

    It has good dielectric properties and chemical resistance, as well as good resistance to bending fatigue, creep and impact. The silicone rubber umbrella cover mainly plays the role of protecting the core rod, shielding rain and snow, increasing the creepage distance and external insulation of the product. It is made of high polymer silicone rubber as the matrix, supplemented with smoldering agent, anti-aging agent, coupling agent and other fillers through high-temperature and high-pressure vulcanization. It has good hydrophobicity and mobility, as well as good corrosion resistance, anti-aging, electrical insulation and other properties. And it has high pollution flashover voltage and crush resistance, with uniform voltage distribution. Compared with it, under the same conditions, its flashover voltage is less than twice that of the material.

    The composite insulators produced by our company are made of special steel fittings, and the fittings end adopts a maze design principle, multi-layer protection, and good sealing performance, which solves the most critical problem of insulators - interface electrical breakdown. The connection between the metal fittings and the core rod adopts the most advanced computer-controlled coaxial constant pressure crimping process internationally, and is equipped with a fully automatic acoustic emission testing system to ensure the reliability and stability of the connection between the metal fittings and the core rod. The core rod adopts ERC high-temperature acid resistant rod, and the interface between the core rod and silicone rubber is coated with special coupling agent. The umbrella cover adopts a one-time integral molding process under high temperature and high pressure, combined with a two-stage vulcanization process monitored by a computer, which extends the service life of the product.
