Does high-voltage transformer emit radiation? What is the safe distance from the house?
1. Noise pollution. When the transformer is under high load or late at night, the sound of the transformer is particularly loud. Living in such an environment for a long time can cause people to feel restless, lose sleep, and so on.
2. Lightning strike. If there were no lightning protection facilities, this place would have been a minefield, but after installing transformers, it became a minefield, and electrical appliances such as televisions and computers may be damaged by lightning strikes.
After the operation of the high-Voltage Transformer, a slight odor will be emitted. Some people may feel uncomfortable or allergic.
4. During the switching operation of the substation, a slight arc light may be generated, and corona may be visible in rainy weather. It is harmless to the human body, but it can create a sense of fear.
During the operation of high-voltage transformers, a certain electromagnetic field will be generated, but because the frequency is only 50 hertz, the energy will sharply decrease with the increase of propagation distance.
The safe distance between high-voltage transformers and buildings
According to the relevant content of building electrical installations in national standards, there are generally the following regulations on the minimum safe distance around indoor and outdoor transformers:
For indoor transformers ranging from 100 to 1000 kVA, the minimum distance between the transformer outer corridor and its surroundings is 0.6 meters, and the distance between the transformer and the rear and side walls is 0.8 meters; For indoor transformers of 1250 kVA and above, the minimum distance between the transformer corridor and its surroundings is 0.8 meters, and the distance between the transformer and the rear and side walls is 1.0 meter.
In addition, the minimum distance between the outdoor transformer corridor and its surroundings should not be less than 0.8 meters. The distance between the transformer corridors should not be less than 1.5 meters. For example, the horizontal distance between the gantry Oil Immersed Transformer and the residential building in the community should be 1.5-2 meters if the residential building is higher than the transformer; If the residential area is lower than the transformer, the distance between the two should be 80 centimeters.
