Operation process of high and low voltage room of transformer box, maintenance and repair of power outage and transmission

2025-10-24

1、 Inspection before power transmission

1. The components should be checked for damage, breakage, U-turns, and other phenomena.

2. All screws inside the cabinet should be checked and tightened again to ensure good contact. The grounding down lead of the distribution cabinet shell, PE busbar, and the grounding device of the system should be reliably connected.

3.Check whether each interlocking component is flexible and reliable; Is the operation of isolation switches, Circuit Breakers, etc. normal.

4. The equipment circuit should be checked for short circuits or unconventional grounding.

5. Clean up irrelevant items required for the operation of the site and equipment.

6. The equipment should be kept clean and dust-free, and the environment inside the prefabricated substation box should be kept dry.

2、 Power transmission operation

The operation and related work of the switchgear should be carried out by trained and experienced personnel who are certified to work! Strictly abide by the relevant safety rules and regulations!

1. External power transmission to prefabricated substations

1.1 Close all cabinet doors and all doors of prefabricated substations.

1.2 Evacuate all personnel.

1.3 Close the external switch and send power to the prefabricated substation.

1.4 When the transformer is running with electricity, listen to the sound of the transformer to see if it is stable. After 1 minute, open the transformer room door of the prefabricated substation (do not open the grid door during operation) to observe if there are any abnormalities in the transformer. If it is normal, close the transformer room door of the prefabricated substation and proceed to the next step.

2 Low voltage cabinets deliver power to users

2.1 Open the low-voltage room door of the prefabricated substation.

2.2 Close all secondary control power switches or fuses of the low-voltage cabinet, and then observe whether the displayed voltage of the multifunctional instrument in the incoming cabinet matches the rated operating voltage of the equipment. (If normal, proceed to the next step)

2.3 Shake the incoming circuit breaker to the working position, and the circuit breaker will automatically store energy. Then press the close button on the circuit breaker panel, and the circuit breaker will indicate the closed state (power supply: close the circuit breaker).

2.4 Observe whether the voltage displayed on the multifunctional instrument of the capacitor compensation cabinet matches the rated operating voltage of the equipment, and then close the knife melting switch. The capacitor will automatically compensate according to the load (or manually test whether the capacitor is working properly).

2.5 According to the on-site outgoing circuit or electricity needs, deliver electricity to the user, ensure that the outgoing drawer is shaken to the working position, and then close the outgoing plastic shell switch.

3、 Power outage maintenance operation

1. Power outage of low-voltage cabinet

1.1 Separate the closed outlet switch, and then shake the outlet drawer to the testing or separation position.

1.2 Operate the melting switch of the capacitor cabinet to the open state.

1.3 Press the disconnect button on the circuit breaker panel, and the circuit breaker will indicate the disconnected state. Shake the incoming circuit breaker to the test or disconnect position (power off: disconnect circuit breaker - disconnect switch).

2. Power outage in prefabricated substations

2.1 External switch.

2.2 Use the electromagnetic lock key to open the electromagnetic lock of the transformer room grid door. After opening the grid door, the electricity must be checked to confirm that it is not electrified. After hanging the grounding device, maintenance or repair can be carried out.

10KV KYN Operation Instructions

1、 Usage and Operation

1.1 Preparation and inspection before use

1.1.1 Before use, a voltage withstand test must be conducted. Before conducting the voltage withstand test, the voltage withstand values of the equipment and load should be checked to determine whether they should be disconnected. For example, when conducting the ground voltage withstand test of the switchgear, the lightning arrester car, RC absorber car, PT car, etc. must be pulled out. If the components of the main circuit experience flashover or breakdown (such as current transformers, insulators, etc.), they must be replaced, and the replaced components are provided by the manufacturer;

If the switchgear is equipped with a PT car, it is necessary to check whether the high-voltage fuse has been blown before use. If it has been blown, it must be replaced to ensure safety;

1.1.3 The vacuum circuit breaker handcart should be checked to see if it has been pushed to the working position according to the requirements of its operating manual;

1.1.4 Check if the locking lever of other auxiliary equipment carts is locked in the working position.

1.2 Safety protection and operating procedures during use

Before checking the main circuit, the following operating procedures and safety inspection measures must be taken to ensure safety.

1.2.1 Disconnect the relevant circuit breakers and switches in the circuit to ensure that the circuit to be inspected is disconnected from the power supply;

1.2.2 Pull out the circuit breaker to the disconnected or moved position, and close the grounding switch If the switchgear is not equipped with a grounding switch, the voltage display device indicator light should be checked to see if there is no voltage present, and the relevant circuit should be grounded with a grounding wire. Hang the "under inspection" sign on the cabinet door;

1.2.3 Lock the circuit breaker in the open position;

1.2.4 When the line may be powered by other cabinets (such as backup incoming lines and bus tie cabinets), the circuit breaker at the other end of the line should also be pulled out to the disconnected position and locked, and then the "under inspection" indicator should be hung on the circuit breaker;

Before checking the connection between the capacitor and the cable, the remaining charge should be released and grounded;

After inspection, the grounding wire used for safety purposes should be removed and the circuit restored to its original state.

1.3 Operating procedures to prevent misoperation of interlocking devices

1.3.1 Circuit breaker enters working state

1). Place the circuit breaker (open state) in the test/disconnect position, insert the secondary plug, and the grounding switch must be in the closed state. Close the front middle door and front lower door (wall mounted cabinet) or rear sealing plate (wall mounted cabinet), and the operating shaft lock will automatically unlock.

2). Insert the grounding switch operating handle into the operating shaft and rotate it counterclockwise 180 °. At this time, the locking tongue of the circuit breaker is released, and the grounding switch is opened. The front and lower doors or rear sealing plates are locked and cannot be opened.

3). Insert the handle and rotate it clockwise to send the circuit breaker into the working position (stroke 200mm), while the secondary plug automatically locks.

1.3.2 Circuit breaker exits working state

1). Shake the circuit breaker (open state) back to the test/disconnect position, and the secondary plug will automatically unlock and can be pulled out.

2). Pull down the grounding switch operation hole baffle, insert the grounding switch operation handle and turn it clockwise 180 °. At this time, the circuit breaker is locked, the grounding switch is closed at the same time, and the front lower door or rear sealing plate lock is unlocked. After confirming that there is no power, the front lower door or rear sealing plate can be opened to enter the cabinet for maintenance.

1.4 Use of Emergency Unlock

In special circumstances, use a specialized tool to loosen the screw, remove the stopper, and use a tool (screwdriver) to move the unlocking lever to open the front lower door or rear sealing plate. Warning: Necessary protective measures must be taken during use, and once processed, the interlocking state should be immediately restored.

1.5 Use of electromagnetic lock

1). Under normal working conditions, the handle of the electromagnetic lock can only be turned to open the front lower door or rear sealing plate when there is a loss of voltage at the incoming end.

2). When the electromagnetic lock loses its operating power or other special circumstances occur, a dedicated key can be used to achieve emergency manual unlocking.

1.6 Monitoring and recording during operation

In order to ensure the reliable operation of the switchgear, it is necessary to monitor the switchgear in operation and keep monitoring records.

The monitoring methods are divided into three categories: daily inspection, regular inspection, and special inspection. The inspection cycle should be determined according to the surrounding environment, working conditions, equipment function, and service life.
