Medium Frequency Transformer

A medium-frequency transformer (MFT) is an energy conversion device operating at frequencies between 100Hz and 10kHz (typically 1kHz-20kHz). It uses electromagnetic induction to achieve voltage conversion, isolation, and impedance matching. Its core consists of a laminated iron core, copper windings, insulation, and a cooling system. It must adapt to MF circuit characteristics to reduce high-frequency losses. Typical application architectures include a rectifier-inverter three-stage frequency conversion system (such as a thyristor MF power supply).

    Features

    High-efficiency energy transmission: The operating frequency is increased, the volume and weight are significantly reduced, and the energy transmission efficiency reaches 85%-95%;

    High-frequency material adaptation: silicon steel sheets or special alloy cores are used to optimize high-frequency eddy current and hysteresis loss control;

    Strong anti-interference ability: electromagnetic shielding design enhances stability in power electronics environment;

    Flexible power adjustment: supports fast response and wide range of power output (5%-100%).
